
Place a yoga brick or bolster on its lowest height. Lie on your back and position the prop under your sacrum (the flat, bony part of your pelvis just above the tailbone). Allow your legs to relax comfortably, either bent with feet flat or extended long. Your arms can rest alongside your body or open wide.
This pose offers a gentle decompression for the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joints. It encourages blood flow to the pelvic region, supports reproductive health, and calms the nervous system. The supported elevation helps to release the psoas and hip flexors, alleviating tension from prolonged sitting.
Hold this pose for 5 to 10 minutes. Practice it as often as desired for relaxation and release. It is an excellent pose for evening practice to promote restful sleep.
